Launchy is a Windows/Linux freeware that allows you to launch applications in an instant. It only takes a single alphabet for Launchy to identify your request and provide results based on it's indexing of your files and applications.
Once installed, it stays in the background as a process and can be called with Alt + Space command. Launchy is an open-source application, available for free download from here.
