Google has come out with a new version of it's photo editor, Picasa 3.5, with a host of new features. Now, you can photo-tag friends and family and create folders containing all photos that the tagged person is in. You can now do innovative stuff like creating photo collages of people.
The new Picasa also comes integrated with Google Maps. You can now geo-tag photos at places where they were taken. Alternatively, you can also geo-tag with Google Earth, but that is no longer necessary and is much simpler with Maps. Importing photos is also much easier and specific and the new Picasa also includes a new Tags panel.
