You will be able to tag your friends in your Facebook status updates, just like Twitter. You just need to mention '@' before your friend's name and a drop-down menu will appear allowing you to directly link the friend in your update.
The person you tag will receive a notification and a Wall post. The concept is same as Twitter's '@' feature, that basically means a mention of the intended person. The feature will be rolled out over the next few weeks.
