Add Tweeterbot as a contact.
Tweeterbot is a chat bot you can add in your Google Talk and GMail chat contacts, to use Twitter from instant messaging itself.
Simply add tweeterbot@appspot.com as a contact. Type a message to tweeterbot, and it will provide you the link to authorize access to your Twitter account.
Once that is set up, every time you need to tweet, write a message to tweeterbot and it will be published in your Twitter timeline.

So do we even get notifications from Twitterbot if someone replies to our tweet or someone mentions us?
