Excellent web-based services that do everything that Microsoft Office does. And more.
Google Docs
Google presents a brilliant office suite with it's web-based offering of Google Docs. Google Docs is a free, online productivity suite that offers a word processor, a presentation creator, a spreadsheet maker and a form application generator.
Since it is web-based, it acts as a 'server' for all your documents that have been created and stored online, hence also making your office 'portable'. You can also collaborate online with real-time users of Google Docs. Documents can be shared and edited by multiple users. Google Docs can also be accessed from your mobile phone.
Zoho
Zoho is another excellent web-based office suite that allows you to make presentations, create worksheets and spreadsheets and also provides project management tools. Zoho also provides note-taking, business applications like invoicing, report management and database application tools. You can even create a Wiki website through Zoho.
In case you don't want to create a new Zoho account, you can also choose to use it through your GMail or Yahoo ids.
ThinkFree
ThinkFree is another web-based office suite, that has been written in Java. ThinkFree is somewhat similar to Microsoft Office in terms of interface. It is free to use and provides most of the services that Microsoft Office does and also has the additional capability of online sharing of documents through it's ThinkFree Docs community.
You can also choose to access ThinkFree through your Google account.
